Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Real Estate, Construction & Design Annual Dinner and was honored with the Edwin N. Sidman Leadership Award. I am appreciative of this recognition and it has been a joy to serve the greater Boston community.
The event at the Intercontinental Hotel featured a keynote speech by Gov. Charle Baker and raised more than $400,000 – surpassing CJP’s sponsorship goal by more than $100,000. It was sold out with record attendance of 500 people, plus a waiting list. CJP CEO Barry Shrage called Mr. Winn an “incredible friend” and spoke about the affinity both men share for “gangster movies,” like The Godfather and a Bronx Tale.
“People talk about Arthur as someone who builds communities and that's true, but what's great about Arthur is the family he has built,” Gov. Baker said in remarks to the crowd. Gilbert Winn, the CEO of WinnCompanies, and his daughters, Rebecca and Jennifer, introduced their father’s remarks before presenting him with the Award.
Governor Charlie Baker also spoke on connecting through CJP to make positive change on issues that matter the most. Thank you to all the sponsors, including WinnCompanies for supporting such a great event.
